Sustainable Tourism and Mobility in Rural Areas

EVENT OVERVIEW:

From October 15th to 18th, 2025, Podstrana (Croatia) served as the dynamic host for the second major gathering of the GreenMove consortium. Organised by the Podstrana Council, this event brought together 71 participants from 21 countries, including representatives from all 16 GreenMove partner nations. Attendees included leading researchers, NGO and CSO representatives, policymakers, rural development experts, and local stakeholders, creating a rich tapestry of perspectives united by a shared commitment to sustainable rural futures.

As outlined, the event used workshops, site visits (e.g., Split, Adriatic coast), and stakeholder discussions to ground every topic in reality. The expected outcome was a set of tangible action plans, strengthened partnerships, and a concrete guidebook section that collectively empower partners to lead their rural and coastal transformation.
